Great For Exchange Students
I am studying in Australia for a semester. I was able to set up my sim card and get my phone number before I left. Many of my other friends ran into so many problems at the airport trying to get a working sim card. I know some people who are switching there phone number every month, which is a nightmare. In addition, you paying almost the same as you would, if you were pay at the airport (including shipping). Also there is an Optus app that lets you renew your plan and check your data. In all honesty, it is better to have the sim card all planed and ready to go so you can switch it the moment you land. Also there is an Optus store right outside of customs in Sydney if you run into trouble.
Received Australian Optus Sim Card
So far so good, had some issues in receiving networks from Optus but after chatting with them, it worked, recommended.
